Staff at the libraries of GTCC are committed to maintaining an environment conducive to research, study, and learning. Minimal noise levels in the libraries are integral to this environment.  Library users and staff must respect the needs of others around them.

Jamestown Campus

First Floor - Quiet Area

The quiet study area of the library is all of the first floor of the LRC building.
Conversation and other noise is to be minimal.
When conversation is necessary it must be at a low volume level on the first floor.
The first floor is the floor at the bottom of the LRC building.

Third Floor

Library users and staff may hold low to medium volume conversations.
The third floor of the Jamestown Campus library is suited to group or class projects.

All Other Areas of the Jamestown Campus Library and the Greensboro and High Point Campus Libraries

Library users and staff may hold low to medium volume conversations.

Library staff may ask library users to be quieter and to comport themselves in a manner appropriate to a place for learning.

Library staff may ask library users to vacate the library.

Library staff may summon Campus Police.
