Occupational Summary:

Provides assistance to dentist. Prepares patients for treatment, processes dental x-ray films, sets up instruments and dental materials and sterilizes instruments after patient treatment, charts dental anomalies, maintains dental records and routine clerical duties.

Qualifications:

Considerable knowledge of dental equipment and supplies. Considerable knowledge of manipulation of laboratory equipment. The ability to expose and develop x-rays. Must have good customer service skills.

Completion of certified program in dental assisting and successful completion of the certification exam. One (1) to two (2) years of experience in a dental office preferred.
